This Privacy Notice has been prepared by RCT Danışmanlık Hizmetleri Limited Şirketi (hereinafter referred to as “RCT” in this Text), in its capacity as the data controller, in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“LPPD”) and the relevant legislation, in order to determine the procedures and principles regarding the processing of personal data of users/customers who shop, subscribe, or use communication channels through the website www.rctedit.com.

1. METHODS OF COLLECTING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Your personal data is collected for the purpose of establishing, executing, and performing the legal relationship between you and RCT, through fully or partially automated means or non-automated means provided that it is part of any data recording system, via the following channels:

  • Filling out the membership form on the Website, approving the distance sales agreement, and completing the shopping processes,
  • Cookies and log records running in the background during your login, browsing, and movements on the Website,
  • Requests, complaints, and suggestions you submit to RCT via customer service, the contact@rcturkey.com e-mail address, or telephone channels,
  • Return, cancellation, modification, or exchange forms and additional documents/images submitted.

2. CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED

Within the scope of e-commerce activities carried out through our Website, the categories of your personal data processed in accordance with the law and the rule of honesty are as follows:

  • Identity Data: Name, surname, Turkish ID number, company title, and tax number for corporate purchases.
  • Contact Data: E-mail address, phone number, billing address, and delivery/shipping address.
  • Customer Transaction Data: Order and cart information, purchased product details, invoice information, order/return number, shopping history, payment method, installment information, request and complaint content.
  • Transaction Security Data: IP address, Website log-in/log-out records, agreement approval timestamps, digital confirmation records.

3. PURPOSES AND LEGAL GROUNDS FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

  • Operational management of cancellation, return, exchange, warranty, or modification processes,

B) Based on the legal ground "Necessary for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligation":

  • Fulfillment of legal obligations under Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection and the Regulation on Distance Contracts,
  • Issuance of invoices and dispatch notes, maintaining accounting/finance records in accordance with tax legislation,
  • Submission of information and documents requested by official institutions, courts, or Consumer Arbitration Committees within legal periods.

C) Based on the legal ground "Necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject":

  • Protection of cyber security infrastructure, monitoring the system to detect and prevent suspicious transactions (fraud),
  • Increasing customer service quality, resolving your requests, questions, and complaints.

D) Based on the legal ground "Explicit consent of the data subject" (via Google Analytics, Google Ads, etc. marketing/analytical cookies):

Your data collected through cookies for the purposes of analyzing the performance of our website, improving user experience, and conducting personalized advertising, marketing, and campaign activities based on your interests are processed with your explicit consent.

4. THIRD PARTIES TO WHOM YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS TRANSFERRED AND PURPOSES OF TRANSFER

Your personal data may be shared with the following parties solely to the extent required by the purpose for carrying out e-commerce operations:

  • Cargo and Logistics Companies: For the safe delivery of the products you purchased to the address you declared,
  • Banks and Payment Institutions: For collecting order amounts, processing installment transactions, or executing return processes,

5. CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFER (ARTICLE 9 OF LPPD)

Within the scope of analytics, advertising, and infrastructure services used on our website (Google Analytics, Google Ads, etc.), since the servers of the providers are located abroad, your personal data may be transferred abroad in accordance with Article 9 of the LPPD, based on your explicit consent or within the framework of data transfer mechanisms prescribed by the legislation (undertakings or standard contractual clauses).

6. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER LPPD AND METHOD OF APPLICATION

As a personal data subject, you can exercise your legal rights by applying to our Company, the data controller, pursuant to Article 11 of the LPPD. You may submit your applications through the following methods:
